Title: Riot
Author:

Stolen by the Arziani Georgian crime mob as a child, 152 was raised and conditioned to be a Mona—the most subservient of the Arziani Blood Pit slaves.

Gorgeous and kind, she has been and under the imprisoning influence of the Type B drug and under the command of the Blood Pit Master’s sister, Mistress Arziani, for most of her life, until the Master calls her back home to Georgia.

He wants her under his total control, and Master always gets what he wants.

But when 152 is gifted to the Blood Pit’s fearsome champion death match fighter as a prize, 152 suddenly finds out that the men who appear most brutal, may just own the kindest hearts. And love may be found, even when living in hell.

Freedom, family, love, 152 will have to fight for what she wants and ultimately make an impossible choice.

What can I say about this book?! I guess I can start by saying that it was kinda fitting to read Riot when I read it, because it's the last book in the Scarred Souls series and the last book of 2016 for me. I loved it!! It had everything I expected and more!! And as far as closure goes, this book was perfect!! I'm sad to let this book series go, cause RAZE was one of the first books I read when I first got addicted to reading!! And it sort of made me fall in love with dark romance and Tillie Cole!!

Anyway, as far as dark romances go, Tillie's books are right there at the top for me. I always get emotional when I read some of the scenes in them, which is rare for that to happen to me just by reading a book. Riot was one of the books that got me all teary-eyed and in a do-not-talk-to-me-right-now kind of state!! Lol!! :P

He placed his hand over his heart and said, “You have made me feel, in here. You have made me want things I never dare let myself want. You have made me want to fight for survival, not pride. I no longer want to die on the pit’s sand, like a warrior. I no longer I want to die at all … You make me want to live.”

The writing was good as always, if not perfect!! Tillie was very careful with her choice of words, which were somewhat poetic, something I really like reading in her books!! She has a way of keeping her readers constantly on edge and not lose interest! I, honestly, read Riot really fast compared to my reading habits.

I don't wanna say too much about the plot, cause I always write spoilers I'm not aware of. So, I'll just say that if you've read the previous three books in the series, then you should expect something similar!! Tillie said Riot is one of her darkest books to date and she wasn't exaggerating!! And like I just said, if you've read the previous books in the series and you thought they were dark, imagine how much darker this one is!! :O

Through tragedy, we were both stronger.
And through distance, our love was stronger.
She was mine.
I was hers.
Her, the girl, whose soul matched mine.
And I, the boy, who was made perfectly for her.

In conclusion, I'd like to add that Riot made it to my top 10 for 2016 and that's 10 out of 150 books!! So, there you have it!! If that doesn't say you should definitely read it, then I don't know what does. This should be enough to convince you!! Although, if you've read any of Tillie Cole's books, then I don't think you need any convincing!!
